Hall was accompanied by Meily Mendez on piano. Other works featured included Five Pieces for Woodwind Quintet by Zachary Van Houten and Six Character Pieces in Search of an Author by Bob Atwell. I was commissioned by the Madrigal Choir of Binghamton under the direction of Dr. Bruce Borton to write a new piece for their Lessons and Carols program. I chose to set an original text by my long time friend, now professional writer and poet, Nicholas Maione. An article was published in PressConnects announcing the event. I wrote a five-song cycle for mezzo-soprano and small ensemble entitled "Dancing Water, Swimming Shadows". This piece was performed by world renowned mezzo-soprano Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, accompanied by visiting percussionist Michael Compitello from Cornell University, Dr. Timothy Perry on Clarinet, Joseph Vanderpool on Violin, and Margaret Reitz on Piano. It was a groundbreaking performance! |

Premiere of Etude for solo cello
My Etude for Solo Cello had its premiere at the Cello Studio concert on April 6th, 2013 at 4pm in Casadesus Recital hall. Other premiere performances from this time include my new piece for women's chorus entitled "In Our House" which was performed on May 9th, 2013 at 8pm in Anderson Center for the Arts, "Dream of Home" for a capella SATB divisi performed at Music from the Seminar 2013 on May 3rd at 7pm in Casadesus along with my "Piano Sonata No. 1".
