Masterclass with Momenta quartetNovember 19th, 2014 SUNY Binghamton
Indescribable, transcendental, and awesome. SUCH nuance and expression from just a first reading!! Incredible! What an experience it was having the fourth movement of my String Quartet read by the renowned Momenta Quartet this morning. A HUGE thanks to Dan Davis for including my piece in the master class and hosting the quartet's residency at Binghamton University, and a heartfelt thank you to Emilie-Anne Gendron, Adda Kridler, Stephanie Griffin, and Michael Haas of the Momenta Quartet. |
Masterclass with grammy winning mezzo-soprano Jacqueline hornerApril 2013, SUNY Binghamton
The human voice is an instrument and each voice is unique. It is important to know how to compose choral and vocal music to industry standards so that it is legible and accessible for any artist, even one as talented and renowned as Jacqueline Horner. |

On Monday, March 4th, at SUNY Binghamton I presented my "Piano Sonata No. 1" in a masterclass led by Greg Spears, a candidate for the new theory/composition faculty position, along with a presentation of an original work by my colleague Emmanuel Sikora. Greg Spears gave a presentation of his own works as well.
